For anyone who knows me, they know that I love to support small businesses. It's a rare day when I go into a "big box" store and spend tons of money.
Maybe it comes from my grandparents owning their own business, and my father owning his own fishing boat and making a living (albeit extremely difficult one) as a commercial lobster fisherman.
Maybe a part of it stems from my inherent love of all things handmade, and my own personal experiences with selling handmade crafts. More often than not when I sell something handmade I lose money because of the time it takes me to make something. And most (non-crafty) people don't know what goes into handmade things.
So my goal for this blog is to feature some small business owners, indie designers, small games developers and anyone else I think could use a small "plug" to get their product out there. :)
